Andre R. Gagne

Andre R. Gagne is a photographer living in Ottawa, Ontario who has studied not only photography but also journalism and film/television production. Having spent time as a writer and photographer for local newspapers he moved into the area of film. He has worked on the Academy Award winning Best Picture Chicago, Jackie Chan’s The Tuxedo as well as Canadian documentaries and films H20.

 

Since focusing his attention more on photography he has been published in Ottawa Magazine, the Ottawa Citizen and Ottawa Life Magazine as well as various websites. He has had two exhibits of his work at the Ottawa National Archives Gallery. Gagne has photographed for many local festivals including Jazz, Blues, CityFolk, Children's and Chamber Music. He was also the photographer for the Rose of Tralee competition in Ottawa and continues to work for local events like the Festival of India and coming Capital Ukrainian Festival. 

 

His extensive travel photography include Japan, Ireland, London, Paris, Canadian landscapes and the USA. When not taking in a live event or traveling he can be found walk around his own city always with his camera close at hand.
